The Amazon Mac App Store launches with ... a couple of OK titles, and a ton of crap. ~140 "learn x (software|language)" titles? Really?
@ccgus No sane developer could agree to their terms, unless you're important enough to be offered a non-standard agreement.
@petermaurer @ccgus What did you find awful about their terms? I found them no worse than Apple's (which is why @pearnote is in there).
@c_had @ccgus Last time they asked us to join, they still had that stipulation saying you can't offer your app for cheaper than their price.
@c_had @ccgus Also, no control over the end (non-wholesale) price users are charged whatsoever.
@c_had @ccgus (Last one, I promise!) It's not like we do bundles, MUPromo, MacZOT, etc. all the time, but we like having the option.
@petermaurer @c_had Yea, the contract was pretty bad. Plus, I can't see this being a good experience for the customer.
@petermaurer @ccgus OK, those were the same concerns I initially had, but none of them were deal-breakers for me.
